    City Public Maps & Applications

    Geographic Information System (GIS) supports the City’s geospatial needs to enhance and preserve a desirable and thriving community for all Fairfield residents.  GIS services include the management of City web maps, map data production, and Emergency Operations Center resources.  GIS also maintains a City master address system that integrates with the City’s various public safety, public works, and planning systems.

    The City of Fairfield maintains a variety of datasets that are displayed in mapping applications.

    Need Census Data?

    The Census Bureau has tools to show you how to find and use Census data for your everyday uses, including informing your business planning, supporting grant proposals and research projects, planning of local schools and hospitals, and much more! Whether you’re looking for economic or demographic data, they can teach you how to get what you need for your various projects. IT-GIS can help with migrating your Census data into a relevant visual map for your project.

    The Census Bureau also provides training on using their data through their Census Academy.
