Naveed Ashraf was appointed as the Information Technology Director for the City of Fairfield in August 2025. With over two decades of experience in both the public and private sectors, Naveed brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role. Before joining Fairfield, Naveed introduced innovative technologies to the cities of Benicia and Vallejo, significantly enhancing their technological infrastructure. Passionate about technology, Naveed is dedicated to making technology accessible to all, ensuring that the community benefits from the latest advancements.

The City of Fairfield is evolving into a smart city through innovative technology. Fairfield Information Technology, referred to as "IT", prides itself in supporting its mission to provide high-quality services for all departments, including technology policy and governance, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, technical services and support, business applications implementation and support, and Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
