As required by the Bay Area Air District Regulation 14: Rule 1, the City of Fairfield must offer its employees commuter benefits as an employer with 50 or more full-time employees located inside the Air District’s jurisdiction. The City currently meets compliance via Option 4A: Alternative Commuter Benefit. This webpage is meant to notify employees of our commuter benefits and how to take advantage of them.

Limited Telework Schedule Eligible employees may work a limited telework schedule, as outlined in Section 200.59 of the Administrative Policy. |

Compressed Workweek Most City employees work a 9/80 schedule (eight nine-hour shifts plus one eight-hour shift for every two week period), with every other Friday off. |

FAST - Fairfield and Suisun Transit
Taking the bus is also a great option to get to work! FAST has bus stops close to City Hall, located on Kentucky Street. FAST services can also be found on the Transit app (Google Play / App Store). The Transit app can help you plan your bus trips and provides real-time information on bus routes so you always arrive on time!
