The City of Fairfield provides basic life insurance for eligible employees beginning the first day of the month following date of hire. Employees also have option to enroll in or increase their optional life insurance during the City's annual open enrollment period. For more details regarding the amount of coverage provided, please refer to your bargaining unit's benefit summary or memorandum of understanding (MOU).
In addition to the City paid basic life insurance, employees can purchase optional life insurance for themselves, spouses/domestic partners, and children. Optional life insurance is 100% employee paid.
